The easiest way to work out a shoe size is to measure a person’s feet
- Place a piece of A4 paper on the floor making sure the back edge is against a wall;
- Place the foot on the paper with the back of the heel touching the wall;
- With a pen or pencil mark the paper at the end of the longest toe;
- Measure in centimetres from the wall to your mark on the paper for the actual foot length. Do this for both feet.
When you know the measurements of both feet it will be much easier to determine the best fitting shoes. Please remember to take into account the width of the feet. If the feet are narrow you may need to go down a half size and conversely, if the feet are wide you may need to go up a half size for a comfortable fit.
Please note that this method does not take into account room for growth or personal preference.
